Benny Hinn; a multimillionaire begging for money?!

Benny Hinn, the leader of Benny Hinn Ministries, multimillionaire, is begging for $2 million.

video posted by NotYourTypicalNegro

Bottom line Hinn's organization has made $100's millions over the years, Hinn's rumoured earnings each year are approximately $1.325 million not including the mansions, cars and private jet! In the video Hinn goes on to state its 'critical' that the funds are received, can't wait a month basically $2 million needed to appear 'yesterday'. I haven't heard Hinn file for bankruptcy, maybe he got the money, or it wasn't that critical in the first place. One thing I do know is that the organization is his, he should bear the brunt of any shortfall! His contributors do not get paid, they do not benefit from the mansion, cars, trips to Rome to meet with female pastors to hold 'hands' or the private jet!

Bottom line Hinn can afford to meet the shortfall out of pocket (sell the jet!). In this tough economic climate wouldn't that be the Christian thing to do, begging for forgiveness is one thing, begging for millions to maintain a lifestyle?! Get a day job Benny!

BBM saving RIM?

I've got a Blackberry Bold 9000 and have had it for almost 2 years. At the time I thought and still think it was on par with any high end mobile phone easy. Massive keyboard, high quality screen, chrome accents, stereo external speakers and you even got a quality hands free headset which came with a variety of ear buds AND a case!
I found the efficiency of RIM's push services a revelation, the speed you receive email, I found great, then I discovered the integration of BBM and instant messenger clients (gtalk, ms messenger, yahoo, aol) and recently the further integration with facebook and twitter. All of these are handled efficiently and without fuss.
The browser is shite, no two ways about it, I downloaded Chrome browser the first week.

Now its upgrade time and I only have one dilemma, why should I get another Blackberry?  When I originally bought the phone I only had 2 people in my BBM list, now that has grown exponentially. Having that instant access to friends, colleagues no matter were the other person is in the world 'free' of charge, has been very useful. Now 2 years on the competition is catching up to Blackberry on the enterprise side.

The new Blackberry Torch as much as I like the form factor doesn't do enough to draw first time smartphone users. To put it bluntly it has no wow factor. The new OS is nice and brings a much needed refresh but again will only really attract Blackberry users. BBM is what the average consumer and Blackberry user will see as the differentiating factor and many plain and simply cannot live without it, hence RIM using BBM as the cornerstone to their advertising campaigns.

Bottom line is what it will boil down to is can I do without BBM? I'm living quite comfortably without Facebook, so the answer is probably yes.

HIV as dangerous as a loaded gun??

German pop singer Nadja Benaissa confessed to having sex without warning her lovers that she had been infected with HIV.
She is on trial for grievous bodily harm as one of her partners was allegedly infected by her. This case throws up so many questions and grey areas I'm not going to cover every area
My first reaction was why did she not just tell these men before hand? Why didn't these men or she insist on protection? Either one would have prevented this from occurring in the first place?! Maybe she felt the need for intimacy was far more important and thought of rejection too great to bare?
Safe sex may well have prevented this from occurring in the first place, what price a condom? The men themselves should take some responsibility as well for their own health on a completely selfish level, at least that way their partner will be protected as well.

One thing this case has exposed is the stigma of HIV is still out there with the same level of negativity and ignorance as when the disease was first highlighted.  The big safe sex advertising campaigns in the 90's rammed home the message through scare tactics that AIDS KILLS (deep booming voice). But at least the public was aware of what the disease was, now I get the impression that with the improved quality of treatment (anitretroviruls) some people feel that they have nothing to worry about, if Miss Bennaisa loses her case, in Germany at least they will have to think twice.
